SMILE Project Assistant

Job Type: Sessional, including one Sunday per month
Qualifications: Relevant education/experience in social care field
Salary: Dependent on experience
SMILE (Sensation and Movement Interaction for Life Experience) is an ARCOS initiative, supported by BBC Children in Need, providing one-one and group play/therapy sessions for children and young adults.
The role involves supporting the SMILE project leader at playdays/after-school clubs, working with children with disabilities and their families. Supported activities will include indoor and outdoor games (educational and recreational), gardening, craft, baking, painting/colouring and many more.

Speech and Language Therapist
Post: Speech and Language Therapist and F.O.T.T. Instructor

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire
Job Type: Sessional, part-time or full-time
Salary: Equivalent to Band 6-8 (Agenda for Change) depending upon qualifications and experience
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward thinking charity and make a real difference to the lives of children and adults. You will need to be self-motivated with good organisational skills. You will be required to carry out assessment, therapy and training. This will include contributing to Facial Oral Tract Therapy (F.O.T.T.) training for professionals and carers. Therapy will entail implementing practical “hands on” treatment with children and adults who have neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury. This post includes liaison with colleagues in statutory and other agencies.
