ARCOS is a national charity concerned to help children and adults who have communication problems or eating (swallowing) difficulties. All ARCOS therapists are specialists in their own field and active members of their professional bodies. Services are provided at the ARCOS Resource, Therapy and Training Centre in Malvern, Worcestershire, UK, and via our nationwide outreach service.

ARCOS clients have difficulty in one or more of the following:

• Understanding speech
• Reading
• Using communication - either speech, gesture or facial expression
• Eating and drinking (swallowing)

ARCOS clients may have additional problems: impaired vision, hearing, learning difficulties or physical impairment.

ARCOS provides:

• Therapy - Speech and Language therapy; Physiotherapy; Occupational therapy; specialist multi-disciplinary assessment and Facial Oral Tract Therapy (F.O.T.T.). Clients with sensory motor difficulties caused by neurological conditions receive treatment based on the Bobath Approach and concordant philosophies.

• Training courses for doctors, therapists, nurses, relatives and carers. 
•  Expert Witness assessment and reports 
•  Equipment loan - ARCOS has established a comprehensive equipment library and offers a service of free trial, loan and rental of equipment including augmentative and alternative methods of communication and switch access for computers for those unable to use traditional keyboards.
• Sapphire Wheelchair loan - The innovative award winning Sapphire seating system, developed by ARCOS, is available for free trial/loan.
